Warrior Wellness | You probably already know what to do

Hey there, Reader!

Have you ever caught yourself looking for an answer you already know?

You know you should move more.
You know which foods help you feel your best.
You know you probably need more sleep.
You know you should drink more water.

And yet knowing all of that doesn't automatically mean you do it.

So we assume we must need something else.

A better plan. More information. More motivation. More discipline.

But sometimes you don't need to learn one more thing.

You need to figure out how to make what you already know work in your actual life.

➡️Maybe "I need to exercise more" needs to become "I'm walking for 20 minutes after dinner Monday, Wednesday, and Friday."
➡️Maybe you don't need more healthy recipes. You need a few easy meals you can make when you're tired.
➡️Maybe you don't need another article about sleep. You need to decide what time you're going to start getting ready for bed.

Information can tell you what to do. But turning that information into a behavior you can actually repeat is a different skill.

That's what I'm talking about in this week's Warrior Wellness blog.

Something to think about this week...

What's one healthy behavior you already know would benefit you, but you haven't been consistently doing?

Instead of looking for more information about it, ask yourself: What could I change that would make it easier to actually do?

You've got this!

Hey there, Reader! Have you ever finished a meal and still felt like you needed something else to eat? Maybe you ate what you thought was a pretty healthy lunch, but an hour later you're back in the kitchen looking for a snack. Or you've been trying to eat better, so you're watching your portions, cutting back on certain foods, and doing all the things you think you're supposed to do. But you're still hungry! I think sometimes we get so caught up in trying to eat less of the things we think...

Hey there, Reader! I don't know how many times I've opened my refrigerator at the end of the week and discovered vegetables that never made it into a meal. And here's the funny thing. I meal plan! I make my grocery list based on that plan, and I buy what I need. It's not like I'm wandering through the produce section throwing random vegetables into my cart and hoping for the best. But somehow, I still end up throwing some of them away. Sometimes I simply buy more than I need. Sometimes I get...

Hey there, Reader! One of the biggest obstacles to eating well isn’t knowing what to eat. It’s having the time and energy to actually make it. You get home late. You have 20 minutes between one thing and the next. You’re exhausted, everyone is hungry, and the last thing you want to do is start chopping vegetables. So healthy eating gets postponed until you have more time. We’ve made “eating well” too complicated When you picture a healthy dinner, what do you see? If your answer involves a...
