Warrior Wellness | Starting over for the hundredth time?

Hey there, Reader!

“Starting over for the hundredth time.” Someone in the Warrior Wellness community said that recently when I asked what people wanted me to write about. And I’m guessing more than a few of us know exactly what that feels like.

You’re doing well with your eating, workouts, sleep, or whatever habit you’re working on. Then something happens.

Life gets busy. You miss a few workouts. Your meals don’t go as planned. Your routine falls apart.

And pretty soon, you’re telling yourself you need to get back on track.

Usually with a fresh start on Monday.

But I think we’ve gotten something wrong about consistency.

Consistency doesn’t mean never getting off track. It means learning to return when you do.

That’s what this week’s Warrior Wellness blog post is about.

Because the ability to follow a plan perfectly isn’t what makes healthy habits sustainable. The ability to continue imperfectly does.

If you’ve been feeling like you need to start over again, I hope you’ll read this one. You might discover that you’re not nearly as far off track as you think.

Something to think about this week...

When you get off track, what would change if your first response was to simply make your next best choice instead of deciding you need to start over?

Give it a try this week.

You've got this!

Or you've been trying to eat better, so you're watching your portions, cutting back on certain foods, and doing all the things you think you're supposed to do. But you're still hungry! I think sometimes we get so caught up in trying to eat less of the things we think...

Hey there, Reader! I don't know how many times I've opened my refrigerator at the end of the week and discovered vegetables that never made it into a meal. And here's the funny thing. I meal plan! I make my grocery list based on that plan, and I buy what I need. It's not like I'm wandering through the produce section throwing random vegetables into my cart and hoping for the best. But somehow, I still end up throwing some of them away. Sometimes I simply buy more than I need. Sometimes I get...

Hey there, Reader! One of the biggest obstacles to eating well isn’t knowing what to eat. It’s having the time and energy to actually make it. You get home late. You have 20 minutes between one thing and the next. You’re exhausted, everyone is hungry, and the last thing you want to do is start chopping vegetables. So healthy eating gets postponed until you have more time. We’ve made “eating well” too complicated When you picture a healthy dinner, what do you see? If your answer involves a...
